It's that time of year again, Christmas time.. The best time of the year in my opinion!! All of the twinkle lights, snow, smell of pine needles in your home, cookies baking and family around!! Just the explanation makes me miss home this time of year. Things are a bit different here in Europe, we have Christmas Markets which is an awesome additional to the christmas spirit but no ones homes are lit up and this year we have NO snow and no snow in sight either! Seeing pictures of my girlfriends getting together at home and talking to my entire immediate family on skype makes me yearn for me and hubby to have a Christmas at home. That being said, I've been looking back on this year with a very thankful heart. We've had such a fun year, met so many great new friends and feel very lucky to have each other at the holidays.. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas as well
Just wanted to comment and tell you that this was a very beautiful post. I am not a hockey wife, nor do I live away from my family right now, but I did at one point in my life, and I completely understand how your feeling. It's just really refreshing to hear a positive outlook on being thankful during the holidays in between all the hustle and bustle. {sorry that sounded so deep :) }
